Music CMS limitations

A Music CMS doesn’t include some of the features available in the other types of CMS, such as the Managed or Affiliate. Currently, a Music CMS doesn’t include the following features:



Channel Membership is the feature that enables channels to have a “Join” button next to the “Subscribe” button of the channel, so they can receive monthly donations from their fans.


Super Chat is what allows channels to receive donations from viewers in the live chat during a live stream or a premiere.


These features are currently not available due to license agreements that YouTube doesn’t have in place yet, and for which there is no timeframe for when they may become available.


On the other hand, a Music CMS includes the "Music Video" asset type, which allows for ISRC codes to be embedded into videos for chart eligibility.
