Tips on how to avoid burnout

Burnout is a feeling of emotional or physical exhaustion that some times affect creators and can have very serious consequences to their health. With that in mind, we have created this article and a few videos so you can learn more about this issue and what you can do about it.

The first signs of burnout show up when you don't feel like doing videos and have lack of ideas, Then you start to feel like you can't do anything productive and you actually stop creating videos. Many creators have already come forward to mention that they felt burnout, and that they had to stop creating videos, some for a period of time, some for good. One thing is certain, you should not ignore this and you should make some changes in your routine so that you can make sure you are taking care of your health. If you want to continue doing what you love and interact with your fans, take care of yourself first. Here are some tips for you:

Reassess yourself and get the basics in check
Physical exercice is great to free the body of toxins and stress. You don't need to go all out do heavy lifting, even practicing one of many sports can help you. Making sure you sleep enough as that's when your body naturally heals itself.

Go to places where wifi is not available
The goal here is for you to use your phone for emergencies only, so that when you go to the beach, mountains or any other place, you can focus on enjoing the moment. Take a vacation from your routine of always on, always connected to the internet. Get some healthy distance from the internet, for as long as you need to recharge your cell bateries. Chances are that when you get back, you will have some new topics to talk about from your vacations, and the best is that it will come out naturally.

Think positive, do positive, be positive
Sometimes it's harder than what it seems, but if you look around closely, you will see a lot of positive things that you can focus on, that can both make you feel good about yourself, the place you are in, or your accomplishments. Positive things are many times taken for granted and you keep thinking about the bad ones. Many people feel that they need to do big things to be proud of before having a positive attitude towards situations, but it turns out that it's the other way around. If you focus on positive things, even those you may feel are insignificant but bring you some joy or a smile, you will find yourself in a better position.

Go out with your friends
Grab your friend or friends and go out to have some fun. Take your mind of what you're doing and build some new happy memories. By the way, take a mental note to avoid those people that seem to drag you down when you are already having a bad day, or if you can't avoid it, try to focus on the positive things and don't let them take you down further. 

Eat healthy
If high concentrations of sugar and carbs are your favorite meal, you may want to consider taking a step back and spend some time thinking about healthy food, that will give you the right fuel to your body so you can perform at your best. If you eat a lot of meat, especially if it's red meat, consider eating more fish, vegetables and fruits. Take a visit to your doctor or a Nutritionist for some pro tips.
