Why has my monetization been disabled?

Some partners are facing the issue that their monetization has randomly been disabled. Follow George's tutorial on how to resolve this issue:

  • Go to http://youtube.com/advanced_settings (creator studio -> channel -> advanced)
  • Scroll down to "Advertisements"
  • Tick "Allow advertisements to be displayed alongside my videos"
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page to click on "Save"

Go to http://youtube.com/features (creator studio -> channel -> status and features) to see if your monetization is enabled again (it would say: Monetization: You can use ads to monetize your videos).

You are done! You have successfully (re-)enabled monetization on your channel.

NOTE: This tutorial does NOT solve disabled monetization/AdSense accounts by YouTube. In order to appeal your AdSense ban, please refer to this FAQ by YouTube.
